The VCM CoolBar is a .Net Framework 2 application that sits inside of Microsoft Outlook^®. It has two components:

Each CoolBar module has lists and overviews that are designed specifically for that module and accordingly, present only relevant information for that respective module.

The advantage to this system is that it is both a powerful way to manage information, and simple to use and adapt to the individual user's information requirements. Once a module is populated, the user has a high level view of the particular company of immediate interest: all mails, documents, and contact information for everyone involved, as well as specific information for that module.

The VCM Finance application is a VBA program built specifically to manage the complicated back office workflow of a VC/PE company. It is used by CFO's and controllers to automate financial calculations and produce financial reports.
